Może i to nie świadczy jakoś dobrze o mnie jako o kinomanie, koneserze kina itd. ale właśnie nagrody rozdawane przez Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films są moimi ulubionymi :grin: Nie Oscary, nie Globy czy inne ważne i prestiżowe nagrody interesują mnie tak bardzo jak właśnie Saturny. Zwykle nominowane są filmy, które w większości widziałem, a tego o Oscarach czy Globach do końca powiedzieć nie mogę. Nominowani są i często wygrywają reżyserzy, aktorzy, kompozytorzy, których bardzo lubię i cenię. I też jeżeli chodzi np. o takie kategorie jak muzyka czy efekty specjalne to werdykty tej Akademii najrzadziej budzą u mnie jakiejś kontrowersje. Może nie są to najbardziej prestiżowe i jakieś obiektywne nagrody, ale dla "kinomana" czy tez dla niektórych "pseudokinomana" mojego pokroju nagrody idealne :smile: I jak co roku mniej ważne będzie dla mnie kto czy jaki film dostał Oscara, Globa itd. ale ważne będzie kto i jaki film dostał Saturna :grin:

Tak chciałem się tylko podzielić moją opinią z którą z pewnością wielu się nie zgodzi, albo w ogóle nie będzie zainteresowana, co z góry rozumiem :wink:

Osobiście nie przepadam za Akademiami/Stowarzyszeniami, które zamykają się na określone gatunki. Tym samym z premedytacją zmniejszają sobie one możliwości wyboru i później wychodzą takie kwiatki, jak uznanie najlepszym aktorem Willa Smitha ("Jestem legendą") czy Brandona Routha ("Superman Returns"), a najlepszym reżyserem Zacka Snydera (za "300"). To są tylko przykłady zwycięzców, bo wśród tych nominowanych bywa czasem jeszcze zabawniej.

Saturny są o tyle fajnymi nagrodami, że doceniane są rewelacyjne filmy które nie mają szans na dostanie choćby nominacji do Oscara, ale tak jak pisze Albertino wychodzą kwiatki. Może nie tyle jest to spowodowane mniejszą możliwością wyboru, ale nominacjami na zasadzie "dajemy wszystko co się da bez względu na poziom".

Ale ja się z wami jak najbardziej zgadzam :smile: Jak co roku nominowane są filmy słabe, a przykłady Albertino są oczywiście trafne. Za rok 2009 nominację za najlepszy film fantasy dostanie pewnie "Harry Potter i Książę Półkrwi" mimo, że film był straszliwie słaby :mad: Tylko według mnie taka sytuacja jest uzasadniona dość mimo wszystko małą liczbą filmów, które ta akademia reprezentuje. Mimo wszystko tak wiele filmów fantastycznych, fantasy itd. co roku się nie pojawia. Dlatego też zazwyczaj nominowane jest wszystko co się pojawiło. Ale na szczęście podczas ceremonii zazwyczaj nagrody otrzymują te najlepsze tytuły.
Ja wiem, że nie są to może jakieś obiektywne i prestiżowe nagrody, ale przynajmniej są one najbliższe mojemu gustowi :smile: A tak przy okazji to czasami Saturny za efekty specjalne budzą zdecydowanie mniej kontrowersji niż te oscarowe :smile: :wink:

Zgadzam się po części z Mierzwiakiem - fajnie, że nominowane są często świetne filmy pomijane w Oscarach/Globach/BAFTAch (np. rok temu Gran Torino). Ale jeszcze częściej zestawia się je z jakimś syfem i dlatego jestem do Saturnów bardzo uprzedzony.

A nominacja dla Hoopera do najlepszej (tfu!) muzyki za Zakon Feniksa - bezcenna... :mrgreen:

Jak już pisałem, niestety takie "straszne" przypadki jak ten często się zdarzają. I pewnie i w tym roku Hooper dostanie nominację za "Księcia Półkrwi", zresztą chyba sam film dostanie sporo nominacji, mimo że jest straszny. Ale jak już pisałem są to nagrody dość zawężone, które uwzględniają tylko poszczególne filmy, którą odpowiadają pewnym kategoriom. A aż tak wiele filmów S.F. i fantasy co rok nie powstaje.
Ale mimo to trzeba też popatrzeć, że często zwycięscy są jak najbardziej zasłużeni. A jako przykład podam, Saturny z 2008 roku i kategorię "Najlepsze Efekty Specjalne", kiedy to nagrodę dostały "Transformery" a nie jak podczas Oscarów "Złoty Kompas".

No i ładne nominacje, ale istotnie bardzo dyskusyjna klasyfikacja Avatara. Oczywiście, że ma klimat fantasy a jednak jak widzę, że wśród SFów jest Star Trek, Wolverine nieszczęsne Transformery i gównany Knowing...
Ujmę to tak - w Avatarze jest więcej SF niż w Wolviaku, Tformerach i Knowing razem wziętych. Prawdopodobnie nawet dorzucenie Treka i Moon też by nie pomogło.
Nie zrozumcie mnie źle podobał mi się zarówno Star Trek jak i Moon, ale jak z Trekiem jest każdy wie, Moon natomiast może klimatem nawiązywać do Odysei kosmicznej ale to dramat skoncentrowany na postaci umieszczony w settingu SF.

Przestałem czytać w momencie gdy zobaczyłem Watchmen w kategorii FANTASY. WTF?!

No dobra, przeleciałem dalej i widzę że nic się nie zmieniło. Zasada "nominujemy wszystko jak leci, od szajsu po filmy świetne" wciąż obowiązuje.

To ja tutaj nieco z innej beczki. Jaki Saturn uważanie za największą pomyłkę. Ja uważam, że największą pomyłką było przyznanie nagrody dla najlepszego młodego aktora w 1987 roku Kirkowi Cameronowi za "Jaki ojciec, taki syn". Dla mnie bezsprzecznie powinien był go dostać Stephen Dorff za "Wrota" ("The Gate").
