Michael Jai White jako Jax? Bardzo spoko!
Są podejrzenia, że ten zwiastun ma promować i nową grę, i nowy film.
But in the wake of Midway going down the tubes WB owns Mortal Kombat, so it isnât too much of a stretch to guess there might be some plan for both a film and game announcement. WB had been looking to reboot the MK films not long ago, but there was some legal entanglement. If that has been resolved, then this could easily be a joint film/game promotion. This could essentially be proof of concept footage akin to the Tron footage shown a couple years back. But itâs pretty elaborate for that.
Update: CHUD says the footage is definitely related to a new film, and that the choreography âcomes from the mind of genius fight choreographer Larnell Stovall. Heâs the guy who did the fights for the excellent Undisputed 3: Redemption, on DVD and Blu-Ray right now.â Latino Review and other sources say that Kevin Tancharoen directed.

Our fanboy brethern at CHUD.com further support the proof-of concept-idea, as Devin Faraci reports that he recently chatted with someone involved with the game's latest film adaptation, where he learned that "the hook of [the MK movie]" is going to be realism. Also, CHUD's source revealed that the movie would include the origins of Reptile and Baraka, which get a tease in the video.
Hell, IGN even gave the actor who plays "Jacks" in the vid a call, The Dark Knight's Michael Jai White. His reps told us that White believed the shoot was a marketing component for the game.
