Hell Grind follows four street thieves whose heist goes catastrophically wrong when an ancient artifact tears one of them into the underworld. What follows is a globe-spanning race through Tibetan temples and feudal Japan — part fantasy, part tragedy, all action.
Co-written with two-time Cannes Official Programme filmmaker Adilkhan Yerzhanov, the film was created from end to end using Higgsfield AI — a first in feature film history. The production team of 15 professional directors, DPs, and editors generated over 16,000 video clips to produce 253 final shots for the first episode alone, all for under $500K total — compared to the $50M+ a comparable traditional production would cost. Hell Grind is proof that AI filmmaking has crossed the threshold from short-form content into full-scale cinematic storytelling.
