verhoeven tęskni za powrotem do usa. w ostatnim wywiadzie, jaki z nim czytałem, powiedział wprost, że gdyby tylko dostał jakąś sensowną ofertę (scenariusz filmu sci-fi), rzuciłby wszystko w europie, spakował manatki i poleciał prosto do hollywoodu. sęk w tym, że na tę chwilę raczej marne są szanse, iż ktoś sobie o nim przypomni za oceanem. miał otrzymać reżyserię remake'u RoboCopa, ale nie otrzymał - jego nazwisko to nie ten sam magnes co 20 lat temu.

I'd do it right away, sure! If I think 'well, it's sciencefiction, that's too bad, but the story is great!', I'll throw all my current European projects overboard without thinking twice. I mean, you've got to be open to the unknown, right? You should never let the plans in your head lead your life.
