Masterton tworzy typowe czytadła, mniej lub bardziej strawne. Takie lektury na podróż, idealne do pociągu. Miewa dobre pomysły, gorzej z ich realizacją. I zazwyczaj niemiłosiernie chrzani zakończenia, co rujnuje niestety nawet jego literacko lepsze pozycje. Z serii Amber Horror to zdecydowanie bardziej w mój gust trafia F.Paul Wilson:)
