Interesting to note that the wiki article on Jeremy Bentham says, "His hobbies included the study of time travel."

The "Jeremy Bentham" guess comes from a hi-res screencap of the newspaper clipping. You can make out the first name starting with "J" and the last name ending with "ntham." And the writers like to give the characters the names of philosophers. You can also make out that the man died on Grand Avenue in downtown LA, in "The Tower [unreadable]."

This idea seems rather strange, to say the least. The screenshot clearly indicates that there is an 'a' before 'ntham', and suggests the letter before that is a capital such as 'L'.
