Budżet na poziomie oryginału, bo tamten film w 1997 roku kosztował około 45 mln dolarów co dziś dałoby jakieś 90-95 milionów właśnie; inna sprawa, ze tam ten budżet po prostu widać, film jest przepięknie nakręcony przez Billa Butlera, dodatkowo kręcili w większości na lokacji w Manaus i z tego co mówił Luis Llosa w wywiadzie dołączonym do wydania 4K, większość z tamtej kasy poszła na efekty specjalne i wizualne - jeden animatroniczny wąż kosztował około miliona dolców (były dwa naturalnej wielkości i kilka pomniejszych typu głowa, ogon itp.) a 1 sekunda CGI to był ponoć koszt rzędu 100 tysięcy dolarów.
Patrząc z kolei na zwiastun tej komedii z tego roku nie mam pojęcia, na co poszła ta kasa, bo nie dość, że wygląda paskudnie to obsada też mocno ustępuje tej z oryginału. No chyba, że Black i Rudd po tych kilku ostatnich swoich hitach w BO są aż tak dobrze opłacani, że zgarnęli sporą część tej kasy dla siebie. Inaczej tego nie potrafię wyjaśnić. Żal tylko, bo jakiś ogarnięty reżyser obecnie za połowę tego budżetu byłby w stanie nakręcić znakomity animal attack na poważnie, który spokojnie mógłby być lepszy od pierwszej "Anacondy" a tak będzie flop i nikt podobnych pieniędzy w najbliższej przyszłości na film w tych klimatach raczej nie dostanie.
